What is the difference between 7mm and 11mm glue sticks?
7mm "mini" sticks fit small craft guns and low-volume work; 11mm standard sticks fit full-size industrial guns and deliver several times more adhesive per trigger pull. They are not interchangeable — always match the stick diameter to your gun. We manufacture both diameters in transparent, white, colored and industrial grades.
Why is my hot melt adhesive stringing?
Stringing is usually caused by low adhesive temperature, drafts over the application point, or an open time that is too long for your line speed. Raise the temperature in 5°C steps toward the TDS upper limit, shield the bead from airflow, or switch to a faster-setting grade such as our W6410 packaging granules.
Why does the adhesive turn black (carbonize) in the tank?
Carbonization happens when adhesive is held above its recommended temperature for too long, tanks are cleaned infrequently, or incompatible adhesives are mixed. Keep EVA grades under 200°C, drain and clean tanks every 3 months, and never top a contaminated tank with fresh adhesive. For 24/7 lines, use a thermal-stable PO grade.
Why does my glue gun or nozzle keep clogging?
Common causes are burnt adhesive residue, sticks with poor diameter tolerance, or dust-contaminated stock. Our WW-series sticks are produced within ±0.2mm diameter tolerance to prevent jamming. Purge the gun with a cleaning stick, replace worn nozzles, and store sticks in sealed bags.
The adhesive sets too fast and bonds weakly — what can I do?
Weak bonds from fast curing mean the adhesive does not wet the substrate before setting. Pre-warm cold substrates in winter, move the application point closer to the nip/compression point, or choose a grade with longer open time (e.g. W9112 industrial sticks or W6435A filter adhesive).
What is your MOQ (minimum order quantity)?
For glue sticks, MOQ is typically 500 kg for standard specs and 1,000 kg for OEM/custom colors. For granules, MOQ is 1 ton (40 × 25kg bags). Trial orders of 100–200 kg are available for new customers testing grades — contact us to confirm.
Do you provide free samples?
Yes. Free samples (usually 1–2 kg per grade) are available for freight collect or with courier account (DHL/FedEx/UPS). Tell us your application and substrate via the inquiry form and we will recommend grades and ship samples within 3 working days.
Do you support OEM and ODM?
Yes — we support custom formulations (ODM) based on your viscosity/open-time/heat-resistance targets, and OEM services including private-label cartons, custom stick colors and lengths, custom bag labeling, and neutral packing for distributors. Our R&D lab develops 20+ custom formulas per year.
What certifications do your products hold?
Our factory is ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001 certified, with SGS factory audit available. Products comply with RoHS and REACH; food-contact grades (FDA 21 CFR) and EN71-3 toy-safety tested craft sticks are available on request. Test reports are shared with orders.
What is the shelf life and how should hot melt adhesives be stored?
Shelf life is 24 months for EVA sticks and most granules (18 months for PSA/hygiene grades) when stored in a cool, dry warehouse below 35°C, away from direct sunlight, in sealed original packaging. Keep bags sealed to prevent dust uptake.
What is your lead time and shipping arrangement?
Standard stock grades ship within 7–10 working days; OEM/custom orders 15–25 days. We export from Qingdao port by sea (FCL/LCL) and can arrange air/express courier for sample orders. We handle export documentation including CO, MSDS and TDS.
